The Minister of Planning meets the Head of the Political Affairs Department in the Office of the UN Envoy to Yemen

Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Dr. Najeeb Mansour Al-Auj met today in the interim capital Aden, Head of the Political Affairs Department in the Office of the Special Envoy of the Secretary General of Yemen Marwan Ali and a team from his office.

The meeting reviewed the political situation and obstacles faced by the UN team and the possibility of benefiting from the experiences of the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation by virtue of their work with international organizations working in Yemen to improve the mechanism of their work in Yemen.

The minister praised the office of the envoy and the role he plays in our country in order to achieve peace and stability, stressing the willingness of the legitimate government to facilitate the work of the office team and overcome the difficulties it may face.
The minister also stressed the importance of cooperation on the economic issue and the interest in raising the pace of development work and creating job opportunities for Yemeni citizens instead of limited relief and launching projects that contribute to the revival of investment movement and create an economic environment that contributes to overcoming the difficulties that will bring about peace.

The meeting was attended by Vice Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Dr. Nazar Basuhaib.
