The Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Dr. Najeeb Al-Auj, met today with the FAO Resident Representative Dr. Salah Al-Haj.
The meeting discussed the current projects with FAO and the analysis of the integrated phase of food security and the response plan for the current year 2019. During the meeting, it was agreed to organize a workshop to review the achievements of last year 2018, the program plan for the year 2019 and the evaluation mechanism.
Dr. Awaj stressed the importance of cooperation between the two sides and the importance of increasing the pace of development work and creating job opportunities, especially in the Yemeni countryside, to contribute to enhancing farmers' ability to withstand instead of relying on limited relief. He also stressed the need to hold periodic meetings to follow up on the plan 2019.
The minister praised the readiness of the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation to work together and overcome all difficulties that may face the organization to carry out its work and implement its programs in Yemen.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Dr. Nazar Basuhaib and Undersecretary of the Ministry of International Cooperation Omar Abdulaziz.
