The Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Dr Afrah Al-Zuba, met today in the German capital, Berlin, with representatives of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation, Richard Probst and the Foundation’s Yemen Relations Officer, Irila Gross, ways to strengthen the partnership, expand areas of cooperation in social and economic policies, support peace-building efforts and enhance the effectiveness of aid, in line with the Yemeni government’s priorities and its plans for reform and recovery.

In the presence of Yemen’s Ambassador to Germany, Lu’ay al-Iryani, the two sides reviewed opportunities for cooperation in the areas of social protection, economic reforms, social dialogue, and the transition from humanitarian response to recovery and sustainable development, as well as support for applied research and evidence-based dialogue, thereby contributing to the development of public policies and strengthening coordination among partners.
